The talk is a 45-minute interactive journey designed with the purpose of inspiring students to understand the power of their choices, both in impact and/or consequence.
The talk focuses on building a connection with the learners to communicate a powerful message based on Stuart’s life story including themes of trauma, criminality and adversity. The session aims to empower the learners with the concept of positive agency over their own futures.
Tow the Line
This talk is based around Stuart’s years of experience and expertise in supporting people of all ages to divert away from situations and circumstances that would otherwise bring significant risk of harm and negative impact on future aspirations.
The primary themes covered in this session include – Anti-social behaviour and its societal impact, Gangs, violence and Knife culture, CCE and CSE and particularly the topic of County Lines, Modern slavery and exploitation. The aim of this lesson is to educate and inform students of the risks associated to these topics and to enable them to see the signs.

We all perceive the things of life through our own lens. Our personal history and life experiences impact how we see ourselves and others in the world, often leading to unconscious bias and possible prejudice.
Using his own personal story of life change and overcoming barriers, Stuart delivers a raw and thought provoking 90-minute interactive session that looks to challenge perceptions and strengthen workplace cultures around the ideas of change and acceptance of those around us.

For the last 2 decades, Stuart has been supporting, equipping and enabling many thousands of individuals with lived experience of mental ill-health and/or criminality to overcome the barriers they face in their journey of change.
This session 90-minute session is designed to encourage and inspire employers and those with responsibility for recruitment to see beyond the labels and to instead break down barriers and become a key ally in the building of positive futures.
